From Community to Platform: How AppCreator24 Zone and CAS Are Changing the Game for Developers

Published: August 6th 2025

In a digital world filled with gatekeepers, red tape, and costly barriers, two creators—Henry Melson and Jason C. Kubin—have built something different. What started as a grassroots Facebook group has grown into a full-fledged app store and learning hub. Together, they’ve created a space where developers can build, publish, and thrive—without spending a dime.

AppCreator24 Zone: Where It All Began

The journey started with AppCreator24 Zone, a Facebook group founded by Henry Melson, CEO of Embercom. Frustrated by the lack of engagement and focus in other tech groups, Henry decided to build something better.

"What inspired me to create the AC24 Zone group was the lack of engagement in other AppCreator24 groups... So I decided to create a space that’s focused on technology, app development, and anything tech-related in general." — Henry

The group quickly became a haven for developers seeking real answers, meaningful collaboration, and spam-free discussion.

"You’re able to actually talk tech while communicating with fellow developers and get more direct answers to your questions. It’s spam-free, of course, and it stays straight to the point." — Henry

It also offers in-depth support for platforms like AppCreator24.com, SocialCreator.com, and PixWorld.io.

ComStar App Store: A Platform With Purpose

About six months after the group launched, the vision expanded. In July 2025, Jason C. Kubin coded and launched the ComStar App Store (CAS)—a live web-based platform that serves as the official app store for AppCreator24 Zone and beyond.

"CAS is a unique area that’s completely different from Google Play... Updates to apps, web apps, or anything else are at the developer’s discretion." — Henry

CAS is 100% free. Developers can create storefronts, publish unlimited apps, and build a following—all while preparing for larger markets like Google Play, Apple Store, and Microsoft.

A Staging Ground for Future Success

CAS helps developers build credibility, attract users, and prepare for paid markets:

Platform Cost to Join Publishing Notes
Google Play $25 (one-time) Approval can take weeks; policies change frequently
Microsoft Store $19 (individual) Supports multiple apps; business accounts cost more
Apple App Store $99/year Allows multiple apps; strict guidelines and recurring fee
"The paid markets are constantly moving the goal post... You spend more time on publishing than you do on developing." — Jason
"I used to joke and say, 'Google Play is where fun, excitement, and creativity go to die.' We do not do that here at CAS." — Jason

At CAS, developers control their updates. Apps are tested for security, but updates happen when the developer decides—not when the platform demands it.

A Partnership Built on Trust and Talent

Jason and Henry’s partnership began with a single app and grew into a shared mission.

"When I met Henry almost two years ago, he didn’t know anything about making apps. But he had a gift for graphics—this was before generative AI took off, so you had to have real skills. I built an app for a project he was working on and handed him the keys. He started asking questions, editing, updating, and learning. Fast." — Jason

Like a Sponge

"He absorbed information like a prodigy. No massive effort, no burnout—just pure focus and drive. He never gave up. He was meticulous about detail and perfection. Of all the people I’ve worked with, he was the only one who never fell off task. We became best friends. I consider him my brother." — Jason
"Henry is unlike anyone I’ve ever known. His heart is always in the right place. He’s generous, outgoing, and endlessly supportive. He’ll do anything for anyone if he can—and even if he can’t, he’ll try to make it happen. He’s a champion for other developers, often volunteering as a tester to help us refine our apps. And trust me, apps don’t get made properly without a good tester." — Jason

Jason and Henry work together on all major projects. Wherever one goes, the other follows. Their partnership is built on loyalty, shared values, and a deep personal bond.

How CAS Operates and Stays Free

"We believe your dream shouldn’t cost you anything. That’s why CAS is free—and we’ve built a model that makes that possible." — Jason

1. Hosting Infrastructure

CAS provides webserver hosting via FTP on a secured domain. Developers can upload and manage their apps with full control—no hosting fees, no gatekeeping.

2. Donations via PayPal

To support ongoing costs like hosting, security, and development, CAS accepts donations through PayPal:

Donate via PayPal

"We’re powered by the community. People who believe in what we’re doing chip in when they can—and that’s what keeps the lights on." — Jason

A Place to Build, Belong, and Believe

"We want people to know that when they come here, they’re stepping into a space built on camaraderie. We’re open-armed, always ready to help, and we thrive on supporting each other. Like-minded creators, learners, and dreamers—this is where they come together. We believe your dream shouldn’t cost you anything." — Jason

Whether you’re just starting out or refining your skills, this is the place to build your dream—and find the people who’ll help you make it happen.
