Spot‑a‑Cop Network – Terms of Service

Effective Date: Revised and Adopted

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, joining, or participating in any Spot‑a‑Cop group, chapter, page, or affiliated platform (collectively, the “Network”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (TOS), the Spot‑a‑Cop Mission Statement, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Member Rules, and Administrative Rules.

Participation in the Network is a privilege, not a right. Continued access requires compliance with all governing documents.

2. Nature of the Network

Spot‑a‑Cop is a privately operated community network. It is not a public forum, public utility, or government‑run service.

The Network is not anti‑police. Its purpose is to serve as a bridge between law enforcement and the community, promoting awareness, safety, accountability, and constructive dialogue.

3. Eligibility and Membership

Membership requirements are defined in the SOP and Member Rules. Spot‑a‑Cop administration reserves the right to verify accounts, approve or deny membership, suspend or remove members, and restrict access to protect the mission and integrity of the Network.

4. Member Conduct

Violations may result in warnings, content removal, temporary suspension, chapter‑level bans, or network‑wide bans.

5. Content and Alerts

Members are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the content they post. Spot‑a‑Cop does not guarantee the accuracy of member‑submitted alerts.

The Network may edit, remove, lock, or restrict content without notice if it is unsafe, misleading, disruptive, or inconsistent with the mission.

6. Moderation Authority

Moderators and administrators are volunteers entrusted with maintaining order and safety. Their decisions are presumed to be made in good faith.

Harassment, intimidation, or attempts to undermine moderators or administrators may result in disciplinary action.

7. Chapter vs. Network Authority

Chapter‑Level: Chapter Presidents and chapter administrators may remove, suspend, or ban members within their chapter.

Network‑Wide: Network‑wide suspensions or permanent bans require approval from the Senior Admin Panel.

8. Appeals and Arbitration

Members may appeal disciplinary actions through the arbitration and appeals process outlined in the SOP. Appeals must follow the structured process and timelines. Decisions after appeal are final.

9. Limitation of Liability

Spot‑a‑Cop, its administrators, moderators, chapter presidents, senior admins, and volunteers are not liable for:

Participation is at your own risk.

10. No Expectation of Permanence

Spot‑a‑Cop does not guarantee continued access to membership, posts, or content. Access may be modified or removed at any time.

11. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated as the Network evolves. Continued participation after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Principles

Spot‑a‑Cop operates on the principle that no individual is above the mission. Authority exists to serve the Network, and safeguards are in place to prevent abuse of power.

The integrity of the Network, the safety of its members, and the mission of community awareness take precedence over individual disagreement.

By remaining a member of the Spot‑a‑Cop Network, you affirm your agreement to these Terms of Service.
