3a. Member Rules
1. No posting of child pornography
2. No posting of Pornography
3. No posting of any content that insights or promotes violence, criminal activity, or endorsements of conduct deemed unacceptable by the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights.
4. No member shall verbally assault another member or person with the intent to cause unjust reprecations.
5. No solicitation shall be permitted without the express written consent of Spot-a-Cop's Administrative Panel.
6. No member shall engage in cyber bullying.
7. No member shall be silenced for communicating ones thoughts, views, or "stand points". Freedom of speech shall be upheld so long as the posts or content does not condtradict Spot-a-Cop's SOP, any state or federal laws, or aggressive attacks on other members or the SOP Administration and or administrators.
8. Any member who posts content for the sole purpose of instigating anomosity or confrontations shall be banned or blocked at the discretion of Spot-a-Cops administrative panel in accordance with the rules and regulations contained in this document.
9. All posts shall consist of alerts, notices, or other posts that do not contain personal opinions and views or other messages that do not pertain to the mission statement.
10. All personal posts containing personal views, opinions, or other messages not pertaining to the mission of Spot-a-Cop shall be posted to the MEMBERS AREA or THE OPEN FORUM. All violations are subject to deletions within 12 hours.
11. No posts shall contain slurs against a profession (i.e. Pig, Bacon, Pork Product, etc.)
12. As a member of this group You agree to not use any information, photos, or messages for any illegal purposes or for purposes that generate unjust treatment or community view.
13. No attacks, threats, or rude private messages directed or sent to admins allowed.
14. No trolling or excessive arguing. Keep it clean and classy. If you disagree, say your piece respectfully and move on.
15. Law Enforcement Agents are allowed membership.
16. Bounty Hunters, Private Investigators, and Officers of the Court are permitted to operate within the SaC Network provided that the current sitting President of SaC (unless they are the focus of the investigation) and Security Admin are notified so that your account may be on our preapproved operations list.
17. Do not post the identities of victims and fatalities prior to their identities being released in the main stream media. This is to protect the families. You may devuldge that info privately off the SaC network.
18. Do not post photos or video, nor personal infor not limited to the addresses, vehicles, family members, pets, homes, or other personal info about officers. The only photos allowed are photos taken where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy.
What Does It Mean?
Rules 1 & 2 are self explanitory. No posting of naked people regardless of whom they are.
Rule 3 basically is stating that you are not permitted to post stuff, just to stir the pot, or to start arguments.
Rule 4 is one we take very seriously. No name calling, no calls to arms for the purpose of violence. No bullying or intimidating other members. Simply put, don't be an ass.
Rule 5 We don't permit people to sell things here. But sometimes it's for a good cause. If you want to post something along those lines, you will want to seek an admins permission first.
Rule 6 We do not tolorate any cyber bullying. That means ganging up on someone, targeting a specific person, etc. That'll get ya banned real quick, so don't do it.
Rule 7 This basically says you have the right to speak your mind, however, do so observing the rules. If you want to start a conversation, you MUST take it to the OPEN FORUM .
Rule 8 Re-iterates on rule 4. But it is specifically telling you that if you purposely institgate fights, you will be removed.
Rule 9 Basically this rule is telling you that this isn't a group to post cool stuff you came across online. It's for ALERTS. all non alerts can be posted in the Open Forum .
Rule 10 is telling you that if you violate rule 9, you can expect to have that content removed. It won't be held against you unless you abuse the posting guidelines repeatedly.
Rule 11 Don't be calling Cops, Pigs. We are not here to insult officers.
Rule 12 You are agreeing to not use the content on SaC against anyone without undue just cause. Meaning, you better had a good reason, if you do.
Rule 13 So this is a one that needs clarification. Obviously we are telling you that you are not to insult Admins. Just like with members, admins enjoy the same freedom from bullying, as our members. This includes hopping in to an instant private message and insulting staff. It's not tolerated. You can be angry, you can voice your opinion and throw accusations, just don't make threats and don't lose your cool. Keep it respectful. Our staff is required to be as respectful to members, as the member is toward them. Sometimes this respect is tested. I do not recommend this course of action. However, if you feel as though you have been unfairly treated, you can always submit a complaint and we will deal with the matter, including you in the process. You will learn more about that in the Arbitration section .
Rule 14 This means that if you are here just to start trouble, you won't be here very long. So come correct, ya dig?
Rule 15 Cops ARE allowed here and trust me, they are here. Act accordingly.
Rule 16 Duely appointed officers of the courts may operate in an official capacity on the SaC network. However, they are required to inform the administrative staff PRIOR to conducting any operations. Failure to do so may result in your removal.
Rule 17 Out of respect for familes of victims involved in emergencies reported on SaC, we ask that you refrain from posting the identities until such time as when that data has been released via main stream media. When this happens, it means that law enforcement has located and notified the next of kin. Now if someone asks you directly, please respond privately.
Rule 18 When a cop is off duty, he is off duty. We are only concerned with what they do on our time, or if it is an emergency that affects the community. So we do not wish to see their personal private info being posted here. Please keep all personal and private info to yourself.
